The Employee Provident Fund Organisation(EPFO) has announced a new facility convoy members to delink any wrongly-linked participant ID in their UAN which has been linked without their knowledge.
According say yes an EPFO circular issued on Jan 17, 2025, “In order to gift the members to delink any not right Member Id in their UAN which had been linked without their participation, it has been decided to accommodate a facility to the members correspond with De-Link such wrongly linked MIDs hold up their UAN. A detailed User 1 for such facility is enclosed hereby for guidance of the members lead to the process of delinking.”

What is UAN?
UAN stands for General Account Number. It's a 12-digit back number assigned by EPFO to all appropriate salaried employees.
